BRIEF: An eerie presence amongst old medical texts. SUMMARY: The Library was founded in 1929. Dr. Welch was the first Director. Dr. Welch and others involved with the building of the library endeavored to create a place to keep medical history. The library was to be a place where the most current medical information would be available as well as historical information. Its Historical Collection is presently the best in the country. The library has some medical texts that are over six hundred years old.
Dr. Welch put his heart into the library and he was proud of what was accomplished. People believe that Dr. Welch is still keeping an eye on the library even after his death. People claim that they can feel his presence in the Library. People have on occasion claimed that they saw Dr. Welch's ghostly apparition in the building. BRIEF: Quite large, rumored to be haunted abandoned tuberculosis hospital, decaying in the middle of the woods behind a suburban neighborhood. SUMMARY: A delighfully creepy abandoned hospital, going to ruin in the woods.
Large with several outbuildings, it's a joy to explore. BRIEF: There are several spirits present. SUMMARY: There are several spirits present. One is an older heavyset woman who goes by the name Marie. BRIEF: An old hotel filled with hauntings and mysteries is cast to the whims of history SUMMARY: One of many hauntings amongst illustrious history, legend holds that while two young male employees were fraternizing with women in the basement laundry room, a manager came around propelling the first man to dash out of sight into a waiting elevator. The second tried to follow but was somehow caught by the doors. Industrial types and early elevators lack the door sensors with which most people these days are familiar. The second man was crushed, by two unstoppable movements, and perished badly. The elevator area in the basement laundry is said to be haunted by this unlucky man's ghost: a faint apparition has reportedly been spotted, sometimes moving briskly toward the elevator.
