BRIEF: Local cemetery open since 1847 SUMMARY: Located on the banks of the James river, this cemetery is home to many famous local spooks, and is reportedly the burial site of Virginia’s only know vampire. The cemetery is home to many civil war era soldiers, including the nearly 18,000 buried near the infamous “Pyramid”. Presidents John Tyler and James Monroe, and Confederate General JEB Stuart are among the cemeteries more famous guests. Locals and visitors alike report a feeling of uneasiness when visiting the cemetery, and there is lack of lore about strange sightings and noises in and around the grounds. When viewed from on of the many vantage points along the James, Hollywood sits elegantly, if not a little foreboding, on a steep river bank. The Pyramid can be seen from far outside the cemetery, and has been known to give observers a shiver on site alone. sobbing, screaming, moaning, phantom canon shots, gun shots, strange tappings, footsteps, doors slamming and unusual crashing sounds." BRIEF: Beware the blonde knock out SUMMARY: This home is haunted by an old man dressed in a black suit and black top hat. He has been seen by most of the elderly living there. Lights in the basement have been known to go on and off by themselves. There is also a young blonde nurse that has been seen by the residents. The nurse has been known to 'make them feel better,' but then a few days after seeing the ghostly nurse some pass away.
