BRIEF: "This ain't no normal kinda dog." SUMMARY: There is a ghostly dog know as the Snarly Yowl that haunt the main road in Boonsboro. The ghostly dog is know to challenge travelers as they travel their way in and out of town. The ghostly dog appears out of thin air and then it grows larger and larger. BRIEF: Death and drowning... SUMMARY: The Loy's Station covered bridge was built around 1860 by the Loy family. The family owned the feed mill and post office at Loy's Station, which was a small community with a railroad station.
The original bridge was modified in 1929. New steel beams were installed to replace the original wooden beams and the lateral bracing under the wooden floor. The bridge was destroyed by arson in 1991. Volunteers restored the bridge using timbers salvaged from the old bridge.
During the Civil War the Union and Confederate Armies marched through Frederick and Thurmont on their way to Gettysburg and Antietam. Many small skirmishes took place around Frederick and Thurmont. The soldiers often camped near covered bridges for protective cover and usually water for their horses.
The covered bridges are reportedly haunted by the soldiers who died there and by people that drowned in the water below.
The bridge is located on Old Frederick Road, in Creagerstown. BRIEF: Strange sightings reported in the skies SUMMARY: The Patuxent Navy Air Test Center seem to be haunted by UFO. Back on April 7, 1998 a UFO was spotted in Lexington Park near the Patuxent Naval Air Test Center. Eyewitnesses described seeing a blue looking UFO off Highway 235. The aircraft hovered for a few minutes and then it sped off. UFO's have been spotted near the Patuxent Naval Air Test Center over the years. BRIEF: A psychic felt the presence SUMMARY: I [Beverly] was invited to investigate the bar by a reporter named Joseph Giordano. It was an exciting investigation. I got excellent readings on all my equipment. I recorded noises and voices in the basement. I could hear someone moving bottles and boxes around and the sound of muffled voices. BRIEF: To clear his name SUMMARY: Dan Starrett was asleep in his mobile home in Reedsville, on April 17, 1973. He awoke because his bed was shaking around about 3 a.m. in the morning. He saw a man standing at the end of the hall. The man was dressed in a black vest, a badge, and felt hat. Starett recognized the man was dressed in a railroad police officer uniform. The man had the same type of built that Starrett had. The man was stout with broad-shouldered. As he watch the man the man disappeared in front of his face.
