BRIEF: This restaurant was formerly a private residence that was built in the 1700's. SUMMARY: This restaurant was former a private residence that was built in the 1700's.
There are three floors in the building, but tourists are only allowed on the first two. Employees of the restaurant have reported everything being moved around when they come to work in the morning. On the second floor, near the steps going up, whistling may be heard. Photographs have been made of paranormal entities. BRIEF: Moved bodies always makes a mess. SUMMARY: Laboring Son Park, located between fifth and sixth street in Frederick, was once a grave yard for Blacks. The city turned the cemetery into a park. But it was eventually discovered that not all the bodies were moved. The city took the playground equipment off the site and promised to place a memorial sign at the site. Two suicides are known to have occurred in the house, as well as a deep conflict between brothers, and the death of a child.
Houseguests and Colonial Williamsburg employees alike tell stories about the apparition of a woman who rings her hands at the foot of the bed in a red oak-paneled bedroom. They also tell of a feeling of being pushed from behind when standing at the top of a particular staircase.
