BRIEF: Children raped and killed by teacher SUMMARY: In 1932 There were 9 children raped and killed by a teacher, James McCoy. The next morning the janitor found 4 of them in the gymnasium, 3 in different classrooms, and 2 in the janitor's closet. Nowadays kids hear balls bouncing and children walking and talking in empty halls. SUMMARY: Chris O. wrote:
"My friend lived in this house and his family saw on several occasions native american indians (in appropriate attire) in the lower part of the split level first floor. One time they all saw one Indian who was shouting angrily and gesturing wildly but they heard no sound. They went through several maids who would not stay due to strange happenings. They moved after several years." BRIEF: Semi-abandoned church and cemetery supposedly haunted by a long-dead witch. SUMMARY: On top of one of the highest hills in the state sits an old church with not a single cross. Inside the church are two abandoned pianos, strange paintings, and an attendance chart on the wall with changed with the amount of people in your group. In the neighboring cemetery is a gravestone with a descending staircase, the words "ETERNAL LIFE", a rosebud that stays green 12 months out of the year, and the demonic face of the Highland Witch embedded onto the granite. The week of halloween the gravestone tends to be rotated around to the opposite direction, and this is when the weird things begin to happen. Some friends of mine visited during Halloween 2005, and were greeted with a white presence in the graveyard, and upon their exit, encountered a fire which hadn't been buring on their way into the church. A week later I went with them to the church, only to find the word DIE written in blood on the church stoop. We said we wouldn't ever go back, but within a week we were. It's truly one of West Virginia's Urban Legends. BRIEF: She looks out the window SUMMARY: There is a ghost of a little girl that has been seen near the historical Mansion in Bowie. She was run over by a horse and buggy back in the 1800's and killed.
