BRIEF: Do not fall into the water SUMMARY: Huge. Deep. Still. Not a smart place to fall into. Numerous dilapidated structures on the quiet grounds form an abandoned, sort of business-town. Now privately owned and rotting away into nothingness, this dying place echoes with the clamor and deeds of a bygone era. BRIEF: Remodeling can't undo death by fire SUMMARY: Over 15 years ago a house on Karlyn Street caught on fire in the attic. There were three children sleeping in the house. The parents could not save the children who subsequently died in the fire. The house was later remodeled. BRIEF: Nation's Capitol ... and at least twelve hauntings SUMMARY: The Capitol is known as the most haunted building in Washington. It is haunted by more than a dozen ghosts.
It is also the city's logical center: the dome spire is the centerpoint of the city's quadrants (Northwest DC, Southeast, Southwest, Northeast), making the Capitol building the only building that exists in all four of the city's quadrants. Senate side is to the left (north); House of Representatives to the right (south), when viewing the building from its "front": i.e., its west-side that faces The Mall, The Washington Monument, The Reflecting Pool and The Lincoln Monument. One-block to the east is the Supreme Court. BRIEF: An icy but helpful ghost SUMMARY: In the basement of the building is an elevator that leads to a sub-basement. The sub-basement goes down another four floors into the earth. People have nicknamed the sub-basement "the dungeon".
