The site is what's left of an old brick house or outbuilding of some sort - and there isn't much left. It's basically just a crumbling brick staircase leading down to a dank, musty, cobweb-filled cement-walled chamber with Satanic-style messages scrawled all over the place.
In the 1980's the place had the reputation of being the place where some big bad mojo went down - devil worship and the like. BRIEF: An old lady's apparition who attends funerals. SUMMARY: There is a graveyard in Emmitsburg at St. Josephs cemetery there is a ghostly woman who attends all the funerals there. Many people have seen her and have talked to her. BRIEF: Paranormal Events at the College of William and Mary SUMMARY: The president’s house at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, a perfect example of Georgian architecture, in the classic Queen Anne style was designed by Henry Clay Jr. The building was started in July 1732 (the year George Washington was born, he would later be a guest at the house) and has served as the residence of all 24 of William and Mary presidents since the college’s first president, James Blair in October of 1733.
Many famous persons have graced it’s halls, in addition to Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, Patrick Henry, James Madison, John Tyler, Warren Harding through Dwight Eisenhower have been guest here. It was even used by Lord Cornwallis as a temporary headquarters for the British in 1781. It was also used as a hospital for injured French soldiers in that same year after the British vacated the house. In December 1781 a fire damaged much of the building but it was restored with funding from the King of France. BRIEF: After the mob rushes in. SUMMARY: The Wicomico County Courthouse has a legend that goes back to 1931. There was a man who was in jail when a mob rushed the building, took the man out and lynched him on the courthouse grounds. He was lynched from a tall tree that is still standing on the corner. People say the spirit of the lynched man haunts the courthouse. There have been reports of strange noises --clicking, creaking sounds that should not be present-- and an ill feeling around the tree.
