BRIEF: An old fort's hospital is now reportedly haunted. SUMMARY: Fort Huachuca, Arizona was built around 1877 and played an important role during the Indian wars of the 1870's and 1880's. It served as the advance headquarters and the supply base in the campaign against Geronimo. Later the Tenth Cavalry was headquartered here during General John Pershing's 1916 campaign into Mexico to find Pancho Villa. The fort was also home to four regiments of "Buffalo Soldiers", the African-American army units of the late 1800's and early 1900's. In 1954, the fort became the site for advanced testing of electronics and communications equipment and today is the Army Intelligence Center and School and the army's Information Systems Command. All C130 flight training for NATO takes place at the fort, as does some training for the Israeli air force and army. BRIEF: Aunt Julia's shaky stool led to demise SUMMARY: Beverly Litsinger helped the Fells Point Preservation Society to develop the Fells Point Ghost Walk by verifying if places were really haunted. While investigating the sites, a man appeared before his house. BRIEF: Watch out. SUMMARY: The road from Bakersfield Elementary School goes past the Beechtree Golf Clubdown. A black-cloaked apparition haunts the road. The dark figure has chased people. This cloaked figure is evil and dangerous. BRIEF: 200+ wrecked vessels and some ghostly crew. SUMMARY: Arguably one of the most treacherous points for navigation is where the Potomac River meets the Chesapeake Bay. More than two hundred shipwrecks sit on the bottom of Mallow's Bay. Some are partially exposed in the shallow waters. To get to Mallows Bay, you can take a boat down the Potomac River, and travel thirty miles south of Washington, D.C. As you round the bend at Sandy Point, you will be entering Mallows Bay.
Mallows Bay is a ghostly region where the remains of many shipwrecks rest. An extremely jagged and precipitous bottom couples with capriciously wild tides at this tidewater confluence where the Potomac River empties into the saltier Chesapeake Bay. A historical maritime survey and evaluation was started by a grant from the State of Maryland. They did an evaluation of the historical maritime artifacts existing in Mallows Bay.
