BRIEF: This hotel has been standing since the 1800's. SUMMARY: This hotel has been standing since the 1800's. A few horrifying events took place here: Two children where killed in the attic area; a blood stain can still be seen. An unexplained explosion killed many, who still haunt the place.
The ghostly of a woman who was beaten to death by her husband stands at the top of the second floor stairs and is reported to not like men. BRIEF: College dormitory SUMMARY: Dormitory supposedly haunted. Was alone in my 2 room dorm room one night (roommates had gone out). Turned off all of the electronics, as had become our room's schedule every night. Locked front door, went to bed in back. Talking to roommates, who were hanging out in Times Square on the phone, when stereo came on in the front room. Went out to check on it, turned it off, turned off power in the surge protector, too. Back to bedroom, just in time to have TV and lava lamp turn on. Turned them off and the surge protector they were on. Back to bedroom, got comfy and a bit sleepy, when stereo in the front room came on at full volume. Ran up to front, turned it off, unplugged it. Back to bed - as soon as I was comfortable, ALL of the electronics in the front room came on. Ran to the front, unlocked the (still) locked door and went to sleep across the hall. After that, we had problems with electronics coming on and off in the rooms at random times, itmes moving from the places they were put - and I had a OCD roommate who had to have everything put away in its place at all times. Never could find out who or what the entity was that was making life in 3D so much fun. BRIEF: Murdered tender keeps the faith and light. SUMMARY: The Bodkin Point Lighthouse was built in 1822 but abandoned in 1855. The Bodkin lighthouse keeper was murdered one evening in the lighthouse. His ghostly apparition has been seen walking in the lighthouse. He appears to still be doing his job. On stormy nights the light sometimes shines to guide boaters to the harbor. The lighthouse is no longer used, and there is no light inside so people do not understand how the light appears. People believed that the lighthouse keeper is still working to alert boaters of danger and that he is still trying to prevent water disasters. BRIEF: "He was in a bind, because he was way behind; he was willing to make a deal." SUMMARY: A woman by the name of Dixie V. Counts is buried in this cemetery beside her still-born infant. The baby's name was Charlie, and he died along with his mother during labor. On a full moon, when the light strikes their death date carvings just right, it is said that Dixie can be seen rocking her baby. Both of them appear in white and seem to be crying.
