BRIEF: Big and ominous, and possibly haunted. SUMMARY: This is a an old and rather large house. It has 3 floors, and you can feel something as soon as you enter. It has many cold spots accompanied by an intense feeling of not being alone. A heavy smell of smoke and burned death hits as you enter the second floor, with noises as if someone is following up and down the stairs. At times a patch of a bluish fog becomes visible. Footsteps have been heard on the second and third floors. BRIEF: Orb, non glowing, in motion SUMMARY: spherical dark orange transparent object crossed hallway and moved into wall BRIEF: An unjust hanging and burning anchors three spirits to this site. SUMMARY: There is an area in Truxton park located across from Spa Cove apartments. Walk into the woods and go past the 3rd baseball field until you see a slanted tree. This is the area where the witches were buried after they were killed in the 1800's. The women were murdered because they were accused of being witches: two hung from trees while a third burned at the stake. BRIEF: Dutch cemetery In Berkeley Springs WV. Lots 1 and 2 of the original town plat were set aside by the trustees in 1777 for a German church and two other houses. There is no indication that any structures were built. It was variously known as the Dutch, German or Lutheran Cemetery. The body of Doctor Samuel Crawford, victim of a postwar lynching in 1876, was buried there. In 1888, two men reported seeing the ghost of Crawford standing over his grave in the old Dutch graveyard. There was a move in 1917 to move the few bodies interred here to Greenway Cemetery so the land could be available for development. No action was taken. Gravestones have been restored in recent years. BRIEF: Headless Horseman rides here SUMMARY: The cemetery holds the remains of Montgomery County's Headless Horseman. People have claimed to have seen the headless man on Game Preserve Road. The cemetery is located off of Clopper and Game Preserve Road.
